Lol this sentimental Jan is right… GD is a bit boring when the season is over. So i just thought about something to prove my point of view: – Dou you think the academy, as many as were the members in the 60’s, all voted for Elizabeth Taylor in BUtterfield 8, I mean it’s the popular vote, do you really think Liz got more voted, or Shirley did, but they (the board) decided the Oscar was Liz’? – Bette Davis won for Dangerous while her breakout performance was snubbed just a year before ( Of Human Bondage), do you think they actually voted for Dangerous and she won or they just decide to give her the Oscar ? – As for Gwyneth, they could have promised they would vote for her to Weinstein, but he was not with all the voters when they voted, I could just take his gifts and vote for the person I really want to win. I’m sure they decide the Oscar was hers. Wake up guys, it’s pretty obvious, the winners are decide when it is convenient for the board of governors. I’m sure at 100% they (the board) already know the results before the show. Even to enter into college, we have some dirty tricks, to have a job, we have also some dirty tricks, even with politics, I mean I’m not American but we all know Hilary won the popular vote, but small a group of people with power decided she couldn’t be president, not a woman… so they chose the most convenient for them…. It’s the same with the board of governors. Glenn Close was obviously the one who had won the popular vote, but for some reasons the Academy wasn’t going to let her go home with that Oscar. I refuse that theory of the other bodies voting more for Colman. These people don’t live under a rock, they were aware of who Glenn Close is and the situation in what she was in. Some people don’t even watch all the nominees and yet you think they watched the Favourite more because of its 10 nods and then voted for Colman because she’s the one they saw the most while everybody on earth at that time knew who Glenn is. Glenn has the best visibility at that time and her narrative was unstoppable. Also, if the other bodies saw TF the most because of its 10 nods, why didn’t they also chose this movie in the other categories ? I even believe it’s not the industry that hates Close, but the board themselves as stupid as it is. So they’re the ones always stopping her. This is all fake You need to wake up about the sincerity of that Jans. Thank You.
