Top 10 (starting with the best):

    1. Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine
    2. Olivia Colman, The Favourite
    3. Marion Cotillard, La Vie en Rose
    4. Kathy Bates, Misery
    5. Jodie Foster, The Silence of the Lambs
    6. Louise Fletcher, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
    7. Liza Minnelli, Cabaret
    8. Meryl Streep, Sophie’s Choice
    9. Emma Thompson, Howards End
    10. Charlize Theron, Monster

Bottom 10 (starting with the worst):

    1. Luise Rainer, The Good Earth
    2. Gwyneth Paltrow, Shakespeare in Love
    3. Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side
    4. Katharine Hepburn, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner
    5. Jessica Chastain, The Eyes of Tammy Faye
    6. Meryl Streep, The Iron Lady
    7. Here Hunt, As Good as It Gets
    8. Kate Winslet, The Reader
    9. Hillary Swank, Million Dollar Baby
    10. Halle Berry, Monster’s Ball*

*I don’t really hate the win per se because it was disgraceful how a BIPOC actress had not won yet (and is still disgraceful that Berry is the only one to have won) but I hate that it was for that particular performance as Berry has had much better and this category has had plenty of women of colour nominated who should have cakewalked a win before (in particular both Angela Bassett and Whoopi Goldberg).

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.
