Regardless of who wins, or “almost” wins, who will have the best filmography/career after these Oscars?
And I include the esteemed thespian Judy Dench for consideration.
Can you see Kristen Stewart go on to a super heroine comic queen.. ? (Nope)
She has my vote.

March 7, 2022 at 2:03 pm #1204835281I think Kirsten Dunst as well is someone who will probably receive a big boost. Again it’s not as if she wasn’t receiving interesting offers beforehand but considering how between On the Road and The Power of the Dog her most high profile leading roles were on the second season of Fargo and a cancelled Showtime series, I can see her being more prominent on casting lists for more leading roles. Especially with auteur driven features (in fact she’s already been cast in Alex Garland’s next movie and PTA has expressed she’s on his “Wishlist” of performers he’d like to work with).

I don’t see anything changing for Jessica Chastain and Kristen Stewart tbh.

And it was frankly just luck that she then had 2 hit shows come out within the next year. She went from being basically an unknown (in the US) character actress to an oscar-winning awards mainstay a-lister in the span of like 1 year. crazy stuff.

Her arc reminds me a bit of Jackie Weaver. Basically unknown this side of the pond although Jackie is highly respected with decades of work.
I didn’t notice Olivia until Hot Fuzz. I checked her out and saw that she’d been toiling in show after show. Both of them are astonishing.
I don’t think Olivia is winning this year but imagine if she does.ReplyCopy URLThe Sunne in Splendour.

“For some obvious reasons..”
Glad you said it…
