Anybody putting Adams in the top 3 is LOL.
For the actual nominees: King, De Tavira, Stone, Weisz, Adams
For this: King, Blunt, Stone, Weisz, Adams.June 20, 2019 at 5:56 pm #1202946172

It was such a boring race that the ones who committed category fraud a.k.a. who we all know were the only decent ones.June 20, 2019 at 8:24 pm #1202946268
I just saw Beale Street yesterday. With all the hype and awards I guess I was just expecting more. King hardly has any big moments in the film. Olivia Colman should have won here and then Glenn could have won lead.
For best supporting actress in Beale Street I would have voted for the religious mother in law. She was pretty great.June 21, 2019 at 6:29 am #1202946618
LMAOOO Not this again! Ain’t you tired, Ms. Goldderby? Ain’t you tired?
If you’d only read the posts in this thread, you’d think King was dead last in the poll when she’s actually in second place.
Want further proof that her detractors on this forum are simply a vocal minority? Look no further than the Derby film awards which had the exact same nominees as the poll, and was voted on by 6000+ users. Guess who prevailed there?
She’s clearly beloved and I’m sorry if that pisses you off lol. Y’all really need to quit being so butthurt and join the (Oscar and Emmy-)winning team! 😛June 26, 2019 at 5:45 pm #1202953084
Regina King did nothing in Beale Street.
Lena Headey hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!June 27, 2019 at 1:13 am #1202953466
Honeys, first, stop dubbing Weisz lead. She couldn’t be more supporting. Second, this category was a mess, Amy Adams was cringe as Cheney’s wife, de Tavira had no reason being nominated and Stone (fraud) & Weisz vote-splitted, had no consensus between them on who’s the better one and, the most important part, already had Oscars. King’s win is laughable but it’s fine, she’s a good actress and overdue for some film recognition, and it’s better than a fraud win. Still, objectively, supporting Weisz should have won.June 27, 2019 at 1:20 am #1202953472
