I truly believe Regina King is the next Styllverster Stalone.

this is still between Adams and Weisz (both of whom are much more deserving than King).

How are they more deserving when they are leads?

Weisz is not a lead. she was gone for a significant portion of the middle of the film, and has less screentime than Stone & Colman.

as for Adams she is definitely not the lead, she barely had her own story arc, and if she did, it revolved purely around Dick Cheney’s.

i believe they are both true supporting. i think they are more deserving because their performances were more nuanced and dynamic than Regina King’s overrated snoozefest.

I was banned for unspecified reasons. Bye, Goldderby. Thank you, next!

Anyone who actually watched the films would know they aren’t leads.

This Regina King bashing is not warranted. Regina gave a very good performance and was not a snooze fest. Just because someone wins over someone you were rooting for to win does not mean that you have to tear down the other person’s good performance.

Ha Ha. Amy Adams has the most screen time of the actresses in Vice, but her role is clearly supporting. Maybe that is the source of confusion.

Regina King’s momentum ends tonight. Let’s see who will take advantage.

King will have to campaign hard. She needs to present at SAG to keep her name out there.

What Regina King needs is a split between SAG and BAFTA of two different actresses winning – my hope is Blunt and Weisz (or Robbie). She will win the Indie Spirit award but that’s not until the day before the Oscars.

I’m not too confident about that. The exposure Robbie will get will be massive from this nomination. She’s an it-girl with a lot of promise. Perhaps King’s absence could hurt her (because she likely took her spot, despite her non-industry wins.)

I think Adams loses for Vice but give her a win for Sharp Objects at SAG.

Honestly, I’d be fine with this. I prefer her winning an Emmy for SO and then an Oscar in lead rather than Supporting, but I’ll take what I can get.
