So Regina King really is winning an Oscar so easily?

I’m sorry i love Regina, but I’m not here for that …

Chris what do you think about this category? Please.

Tom said hes the one who told her agent or whatever to send Regina to BAFTA to present so she can mingle with Oscar Voters. That should tell u exactly who he wants/picking to win lol.

Rachel Weisz is the most deserving of the nominees. She was the real MVP of The Favourite. I hope she really does win, but I won’t get my hopes up.

I have felt all along the way, despite the SAG snub, that Regina King will easily win this category. Exceptions sometimes happen to the awards rules/trends.

It’s between King vs. Weisz. The other girls don’t stand a chance.

    King will edge out Weisz.

I remember when there was media-created buzz for King to be nominated for an Oscar for Ray back in 2004 and we saw that amounted to nothing. Now, 14 years later, despite a SAG and BAFTA snub, she’s sitting here nominated and is considered by many to be a front runner. Some people have to claw their way for recognition while others seem to get Oscar-baity roles handed to them super easily.

there’s even nothing baity in King’s role and performance. It’s just the usual concerned mom we’ve seen countless times. I know there’s been so much buzz surrounding the scene where she visited the rape victim but in a decent World, it’s nothing special. I don’t know how she managed to get her way up there with the critics and these other awards.

This would have been Emily Blunt’s to lose only if the other precursors had nominated her.

Now for the nominated ones, Rachel Weisz all the way.

    My rating

    Weisz

    Stone

    King

    Adams

Tavira…. She’s last cos I’ve not seen her performance

Amy Adams should fire her “team”.

If ever there was a category soft enough to win on nomination #6 it was this one and she totally flopped.

Tbh. Glenn lost her 6th nomination in lead and against one of the most (if not the most) respected actresses of the last 50 years who was backed by a Weinstein campaign

Amy is about to lose to either a first time nominee (Regina), a girl who already beat her in the past (Rachel), or a complete unknown who is coatailing her film’s success (Marina). And in supporting.

She’d better come hard with her 7th nomination cuz this is lowkey embarassing at this point
