Hollywood, you don’t deserve Roma and The Favourite. You deserve the hack Farrelly. You deserve the insulting and harmful Green Book. You deserve Ali’s dull performance. You celebrated yourself. You pushed mediocrity down our throats. Now fuck off, TheAcademy!

^why did you post this in the Supporting Actress thread?

So happy for Regina King! After all the negativity, the snubs, she still won! (: Hooray! (:

I may think that Weisz and Adams gave superior performances, but this was honestly one of the best wins of the night and congrats to King.

Regina King played an excellent supporting mother role. I think she deserved her win.

Did Weisz leave a little after the supp. actress category? She was nowhere to be found when Olivia won.

I think for some reason she was sat away from the other girls. It was really weird.

She certainly did not leave, because Daniel Craig co-presented Supporting Actor.

I forgot that 007 presented lol. They probably had a limited number of seating to where he wouldn’t have been able to sit with them so she moved with him.

It is only the 2nd time in history that a performer has won without BAFTA or SAG nominations. In 18 years. I doubt it’ll happen again for some time.

It probably won”t- I still wish an upset happened here but at least we got upsets in not one but three categories as Green Book was not likely to win for Best Original Screenplay to me and Best Picture seemed unlikely until it won for it”s script.

I love the feeling of an upset, whether or not I agree with the winner.
