If I had to chose (without having seen most of the movies):

    – Octavia Spencer – Luce
    – Margot Robbie – Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood
    – Laura Dern – Marriage Story
    – Sarah Paulson – The Goldfinch
    – Janelle Monae – Harriet

    That being said I’m predicting:

    – Octavia Spencer – Luce
    – Margot Robbie – Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood
    – Laura Dern – Marriage Story
    – Florence Pugh – Little Women
    – Annette Bening – The Report

FYC: Octavia Spencer (Luce) - Best Supporting Actress

Thompson would such fraud but she’s outstanding in Late Night and I’m never gonna rejected a comedy doing well in Awards Season.

I would love for Janelle Monae to win and cement her status as an actress however i am primarily rooting for Annette Bening to finally get her due.

ENOUGH of Octavia “one trick pony” Spencer.

    • Florence Pugh, Little Women (She’s said to be the MVP of this)
    • Octavia Spencer, Luce (shes so good in this)

    That is the truth.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Maggie Smith and Joanne Froggatt lands a nomination.

I really haven’t seen anything except Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but I’ll be stanning Robbie this year, she deserves a nom at least. And I’m always rooting for Laura Dern too. Florence Pugh being nominated would be amazing, she was great in The Little Drummer Girl, and I know I need to check her out in Lady Macbeth and Midsommar. I think we might be overestimating her though

I thought Thompson was Outstanding in Late Night and I love the idea of comedies getting in at the Oscars. If they push her Supporting everywhere except for the Globes I can see her getting a BAFTA and Globe nom which could hopefully turn into an oscar nom. Not to mention she will likely get a Globe, Critics Choice and SAG nom for Years and Years

FYC Golden Globes- Fleabag, The Crown, Olivia Colman, Jennifer Aniston

FYC Oscars- Maggie Smith, Charlize Theron, Brad Pitt, Adam Driver

FYC Emmys- Schitts Creek, The Crown, Years and Years

    Current Favourites

    1. Dern, Marriage Story
    2. Bening, The Report
    3. Pugh, Little Women
    4. Streep, The Laundromat
    5. Robbie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

    Strong Possibilities

    1. Robbie, Fair & Balanced
    2. Spencer, Luce
    3. Shuzhen, The Farewell
    4. Kidman, Fair & Balanced
    5. Johansson, Jojo Rabbit

Currently predicting Dern as she has a good mix of early buzz, narrative and goodwill amongst the Academy, and I have a feeling Marriage Story will be a big player across the season.
