Directed by Justin Chon and premiering at Cannes, and to be released in the fall.

Thots on Alicia coming to stomp on everyone’s faves again and Chon snatching the actor/director noms?

As I said in the Actor thread, really looking forward to this one. The cinematography looks gorgeous and Justin’s acting looks great from the two clips.

Vikander has had so many misses since her Oscar win she deserves a hit. Really looking forward to this!

She honestly deserved those misses for that horrible win.

I’m alone in thinking she was radiant in TDG, and that she deserved double nominations in lead for that and supporting for Ex Machina. But the Academy doesn’t appreciate sci-fi performances, and the voters put her and Mara in the wrong category, so I’ll take the win as a reward for her banner year.

Chon could be this year’s underdog Best Actor contender. I’m looking forward to seeing this.

She’s made so many ???? choices lately. Thrilled to see her getting back to this kind of work. I’d love her to contend, but to be satisfied I just need her to be well reviewed in an applauded movie, and this seems like a good shot for that. Hopeful for this one!
