what about Jean Smart ?? Is her role big ??

It remains to be seen what’s cut or revised in the final version, but Smart has a great role, too. She’s occasionally comic, but she’s also kind of the villain, and she gets one great monologue towards the end. She’s one to watch.

    All white winners? Not happening.

Whishaw is gay so you’re still giving an award to a marginalized person. That’s more than you could say for 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019.

From what I have heard her role is similar to Patricia arquette in boyhood but Jean smart coming off a hacks sweep has also a narrative same as lily Gladstone who could be the first native American to win an Oscar

I would support any of these! I am excited for next season. And it will be a nice Certain Woman reunion for Lily and Michelle. 🙂

Brad Pitt’s character in the script is more of a supporting one, Diego Calva is the co-lead with Margot, but knowing how category placements work I’m sure the studio will switch them and fraud Calva in supporting.

According to Variety, Asteroid City and She Said aren’t expected to premiere at Cannes. I think a lot of the highly anticipated contenders-Babylon, White Noise, Poor Things-might premiere at Venice. I personally feel confident about Babylon and White Noise premiering at Venice: https://www.google.com/amp/s/variety.com/2022/film/global/cannes-predictions-elvis-top-gun-maverick-1235194853/amp/

She Said shouldn’t go anywhere near Venice since they gave the Cesar to Roman Polanski.

Separate the art from the artist. The Pianist was a great movie.

Paul dano is one of the most underrated actors we have today. Poor guy got overlooked for Love & Mercy and the There Will be Blood.

Should have he won or just got nominated for TWBB? Because there was no way Bardem was losing that.

Paul Dano for supporting actor 2023! Never going to happen, but one can dream 😂

My God he was fantastic. Dude would have made Heath Ledger proud.

He might get nominated Spielberg have a good track record in nominating actors

Nominated, but he should also be nominated for The Batman for his monologue he delivers at the end. Riveting powerful scene. We see actors getting nominated in the supporting field all the time for having that ONE great scene. He is no different here, but it just seems highly unlikely.

There will never be another CBM performance nominated for an Oscar. Ledger because he died and Phoenix because it was consolation.
