Kathryn Bigelow.
I think she created the best English language film of the 2010’s Zero Dark Thirty.

Her Captain Marvel isnt really well received and the only auteur (or if he counts as one) She constantly works with was Destin Daniel Cretton, who gave her leading breakthrough for Short Term 12. Thankfully Kong Skull Island was well received.
I don’t think Brie Larson qualifies seeing as how she didn’t have much of a career prior to her Oscar win. Being a major player in the MCU is a big upgrade to where she was pre-Room.

Short Term 12 made her a critic darling. It was just a matter of choosing a good project after that and she chose really well.

Now she’s back with Don’t Look Up and already signed onto another McKay film, and she’s still only 31.

I can see her having a bit of a renaissance next season.

I read that she had been warned that she will not get good roles/part even if she win an Oscar.

I dont know why you mentioned Jennifer Lawrence because her career has still been on fire since her oscar win, she did not have a decline at all as you’ve stated above shes been in a lot of things and has been doing great, sure some of her movies were critical flops but shes still been front and center in a lot of movies, so I’m not sure where the decline is.

Her slump didnt start right after her Oscar win to be exact. Passengers/X-Men Apocalypse is her turning point.

That would be Glenda Jackson, I think.
