Blanchett. And by a mile.

Not that I don’t like Winslet, she’s actually one of the greats of her generation, but Blanchett is simply one of the greatest actresses of all time.

Winslet is awesome and what she showed us between 1994 and 2008 was incredible.

But Blanchett is my favourite. One of all time greats. She manages to find time for Oscar bait projects, indie darlings, inspired failures, Marvel/Disney, prestige TV, theatre. And all of that while having 4 children and a production company, being red carpet queen and smart, funny diva during interviews.

Kate winslet is better thou. Cate blanchett is super good but she falls flat when compare to winslet. I think you haven’t watched enough kate winslet movies.

Why did you start this poll if all you’re gonna do is drag Blanchett and say others are better than her?

I would say that generally Winslet is the better performer, though I do find myself more excited by Blanchett’s projects. Both good.

I feel Blanchett is clearly and obviously the superior actor. Winslet might have the better filmography though with both Titanic and Eternal Sunshine under her belt. She still can’t hold a candle to Blanchett as an actress. They aren’t even in the same league. It would be more appropriate to have Blanchett vs Kidman.

The correct response to this would also be Blanchett

Blanchett is a technician like Streep that’s why she remains consistently impressive as a performer to critics and her peers. Winslet seems directionless these days. Like she has her Oscar and Emmy and is sort of indifferent to challenging herself like the old days.

It would be more appropriate to have Blanchett vs Kidman.

Kidman’s not a technician. She’s very different from the studied and precise method of Streep and Blanchett. Kidman should be compared to Binoche and Huppert.
