The name says it all. Feel free to comment on any and all perceived cases of category fraud in Oscars history – whether a lead role sneaking into Supporting or vice versa.

Both these movies are masterpieces but this was just some outrageous fraud lmao.

We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.

I don’t mind some nominations, like Maria Bakalova in Supporting, because I understand that was the only way she could’ve gotten nominated for that role. But some are just really disrespectful to the work of the actors.
Let’s nominate two leads from the same movie again, please… I guess a studio has to take the first step

Those are the only two performances that I can think of that were truly category fraud. I loved Alicia’s performance and was glad she won the Oscar for the role because she was amazing. Rooney should’ve replaced Jennifer Lawrence in the Lead Actress category.

But I guess the worst example I’ve seen is Casey Affleck in Assassination..Jesse James. That was ridiculous.
