Z is being given $11M-$13M for the film. Amy Pascal will produce the Oscar vehicle.

 

i wonder what happened to zendayas ronnie spector biopic film and the film she was doing with reese witherspoon about a black female passing as white to go to university??

The passing movie is dead.
Nothing happened to the ronnie movies its in pre production they have someone on the script but no director and he only actor casted is zendaya still happening but it could be a couple years with zs schedule,

Mike Faist! I was scared ’cause I read somewhere he didn’t want to keep doing movies or something like that?  I’m relieved  now. It says they’re shooting in the spring but Guadagnino has like a hundred projects so who knows.

Thank goodness Mike Faist is getting more roles and recognition after his rightful Oscar slot was stolen. Josh O’Connor also continues to rise after his Emmy win and I’m so excited to see him in this role. And Zendaya’s finally getting an interesting role outside of her work on Euphoria and here’s hoping she gets more leading lady parts. I’m rooting for all three so hard. (fun fact: all three have a performance Emmy!)

What’s so exciting about this project is it feels so out of each of these actors’ comfort zones. Zendaya is usually in more YA or genre driven pieces, O’Connor in British period dramas and Faist in musical theatre.

We always love seeing actors in against type roles!

There probably really shooting in the spring if Luca really wants to keep Zendaya cause dune 2 shoots in fall then after that it’s probably euphoria season 3.

Zendaya can’t act, she is basically MJ in euphoria with a bit more drama. Like she is so overrated. No emotional range whatsoever. There are so many more talented black actresses with emotional depth,versatily yet she has Emmy.
