^^^lmfao, are they still making that barbie movie with Margot? Seems like an awful career option unless it’s a scathing satire or something.
They’re really pushing Kidman in the promotional material, the marketing makes it seem like the three of them are almost equal leads, which I know isn’t true but it’s really nice to see they aren’t just forgetting Kidman. I need her to get a coattail nom.October 16, 2019 at 9:19 am #1203139488
I just saw the preview and now I see how the filmmakers are going the way of The Big Short and Vice but without Adam McKay, so I guess it’s the Randolph touch. There are so few contenders in the predictions center for Best Actress that I just threw Theron in. I’ll probably also add Lithgow eventually. It’s been 36 years since his back-to-back Oscar nods, but hopefully new Academy members are familiar with his work in Dexter and The Crown. I’m just waiting to see if he does substantive work here or if it’s more like Sam Rockwell in Vice, which ultimately worked out for Rockwell anyway. Kidman appears to me to be reprising her Suzanne from To Die For and I worry that Robbie looks promising but might split votes with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and be left with nothing to show after likely narrowly missing a nod last year. But the two of them could certainly Stone and Weisz their way in.October 16, 2019 at 9:37 am #1203139528

Barbie seems like a great career move actually lol. It’ll likely make a lot of money and Gerwig and Baumbach are writing the script (as of the last news we got on it), with Gerwig possibly directing. So I doubt it’ll be some straight forward film just made to bring in some cash.October 16, 2019 at 9:40 am #1203139541
I’m just curious who they’ll cast as Ken. Though pretty sure it’ll be Armie Hammer or Billy Magnussen lol.October 16, 2019 at 10:07 am #1203139609
She should’ve gotten in for Mad Max. So I’ll take this.
I just love movies. And awards.October 16, 2019 at 10:11 am #1203139618

I’m all for Michael Keaton reprising his role from Toy Story 3 in heavy makeup.
But if we’re talking serious options, Magnussen could be good.October 16, 2019 at 10:23 am #1203139638
Can’t believe the song choice for the trailer. That’s just ridiculous. They could’ve used an instrumental version of the song. It’s one of the most popular songs of the year, so everybody would’ve understood. It sounds way too fun, light and like a comedy. And nothing says fun and comedy like women being attacked, harassed, humiliated, you know, fun times. Also, blink and you’ll miss Gracie Sheffield in the trailer.
This is the point… it’s tragically ironic because that’s how Ailes felt.October 16, 2019 at 10:51 am #1203139677
Greta Garbo, Linda Hunt, who else am I forgetting…October 19, 2019 at 6:40 pm #1203144225
“BOMBSHELL is indeed equal parts VICE & SUCCESSION, but it juggles a tricky balance of wacky Fox caricatures & stunt casting with legitimate insights into workplace harassment w/an often thrilling dexterity even when it stumbles. Charlize Theron is obv next level. #BombshellMovie”- Erick Kohn @IndiewireOctober 19, 2019 at 7:23 pm #1203144252
Darlings, Bombshell is going to be very Thatcherian. I’m going to love it. I can smell it.

If the film is as the early responses lead me to believe it is, whomever is responsible for putting together that trailer did a truly terrible job.October 21, 2019 at 5:16 am #1203145535
