Gaga would be an incredible Cleopatra but I think I would be incredibly nervous about her involvement given the flack the project could get regarding the lead actress’s skin color like others have mentioned here.

So white people and hoteps have been at each other’s throats claiming Cleopatra and you want a white Italian woman to play her?? Like seriously?

And NO even if Gaga was Greek she cant pull that off. I know you are going to jump down my throat but Gaga is not pretty (enough) or has the acting chops to pull a Cleopatra.

Darling, I’d highly recommend. Rome is one of the early HBO series which was painfully underseen and underrated. And in fact features recent Oscar nominee Kerry Condon…she came a long way!
