On a separate note I have a feeling the BAFTAs will go semi-virtual (almost like the Graham Norton Show format). Those in the US will dial in and those in the UK will join in-person.

Whoever wins best lead actor in the National Board of Review it will reduce his chances at the Oscars, 12 of the last 13 winners lost the Oscar or weren´t even nominated

    Hey @diego
Are you able to copy and paste the schedule I posted on page 2 and post it on your first post by chance?

No award actively reduces someone’s chance of winning an Oscar; the lack of crossover is more due to differing tastes and sensibilities. I know there is this awards season legend of the NBR curse but no one seriously believes it, right?

The National Society of Film Critics is voting on January 9th, if you want to add it to the list England.

It’s really just forum hype. I remember that when Lady Gaga won the NBR people on here were saying that she wouldn’t win the Oscar because of the “NBR curse”, but look at what happened the very next year: Renee Zellwegger won the NBR and won the Oscar too.

Considering how Sasha Stone sits on there I won’t be surprised if they just went for Trumpbilly Floppigy. Sigh.
