What do you mean? All films with Mahershala or all Mahershala performances?

    It’s correct either way.

He’s in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and that film was great. It was not specified in this thread that it’s all about acting performances. So, voice performances count.

Jessica Chastain – Zero Dark Thirty/A Most Violent Year/Miss Sloane/Molly’s Game

Had no idea this was an unofficial miniseries starring the same character.

Eddie Redmayne is literally awful in The Danish Girl. Like really, really awful lol.

Omg this! I cringe whenever someone praises his performance on that film.

Darlings, I’d be here for years:

Hysterical Collette was Razzie-worthy in Hystereditary. Awful is the least I can say.

Bore really did justice to her name in The Borife. What an endless movie. I thought it was 84 years long. And Bore’s performance was not even the best in her movie. Classy Price outacted her. Supporting Colman won the dildo for a supporting role, but infinitely more deserving than Bore’s.

Bohemian Tragedy was already painful to watch because of its mediocre directing, script and editimg, but Animatronic’s Razzie-worthy cartoonish performance made it even worse. A cringe-worthy disgrace.

The same can be said about the disgusting Sally Hawkins in The Disgust of Water which promoted bestiality and the Offensive McDormand in her last Oscar-winning role (I have to laugh).

And, obviously, we all know Eddie Redmayne is a very limited actor whose only good performance is The Classy Theory of Everything. I was embarrassed every time he showed up in The Danish Girl, an awful film that Alicia Vikander tried to save with her solid performance, but failed anyways.

LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!

Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.

Frances Mcdormand in Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri (it was so painful to watch.

Jessica Chastain for practically everything she has done.

Maharshala Ali for Moonlight (he was bearable in green hook)

Regina King for If Beale Street could talk

Amy Adams for everything (especially vice and arrival) besides Junbug

Sam Elliot for A Star is Born

    Mary J Blige for Mudbound

Lesley Manvile (however it’s spelt) for Phantom Thread.

Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara for Carol

    Matt Damon for The Martian

    Sylbester Stallone for Creed

Ryan Gosling was nothing in La La Land

    Toni Collette in Hereditary

    Christian Bale for Vice

Willem Dafoe for the Florida Project (can’t believe he swept the critics awards for this nothing performance)

Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf for Lady Bird (Ronan more so)

    Glenn Close for the Wife

    Meryl Streep for The Post

    Michael Keaton for Birdman

I’ll surely get a lot of hate for this but seriously and honestly, Olivia Colman was overrated for the Favourite. Doesn’t look like a powerful role to me.

Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born. She was just average, very far from great.

that’s a lie. Shoot me but she was by farrrrrrrrr the best in her category.

Absolutely Lady Gaga in ASIB. The first moment she started speaking I immediately detected how uncomfortably forced her acting was. She did not really delve in too much to her character to make her performance at least palpable. Gaga’s certainly terrific though when she sings, but then a vocal showcase is a different art altogether than acting.

Eddie Redmayne is such a paper-thin actor as well. He likes to play dress up and make caricatures of his characters. Felicity Jones’ simmering performance in “The Theory of Everything” was miles superior.

Lily Gladstone in “Certain Women”… I mean she doesn’t really do anything other than smile at Kristen Stewart. A more experienced actor would have given a much more tender portrayal of a woman’s growing attraction.

Jennifer Lawrence and David O Russell. He brings out the worst in her, which is her uncalibrated screaming bitch caricature. Otherwise, Lawrence is great.

Brie Larson in “Room”. I can’t believe she won an Oscar for this, she wasn’t even worthy to be nominated. Her mannerisms are so limited to her eyebrows and jaw… like it always stay so tense and rigid. It worked for “Short Term 12” partly because the film allows her to sink inside such a domestic setting, making her portrayal so natural and nuanced.

Darlings, Decent Ronan didn’t do anything extraordinary in Brooklyn / Lady Bird. She deserved to lose both times. But at least Lady Bird was decent and not an 84 years long bore like Brooklyn.

Anything from Mulholland Drive. What an overrated BS movie that was! If Peter Farrelly had directed it exactly like Lynch it would have been hated by critics.
