They usually announce the Best Feature Film Director right before 11pm so that it can make the local LA news broadcasts.

There are 3 more television categories and 3 more movie categories. We ought to be getting our first movie category fairly soon (Documentary). I saw that Drama Television is 2nd to last with Feature Film last.

if bradley cooper doesn’t win best first feature I really will lose 100% interest in 2019 award season. Cooper deserves some awards love, still hasn’t been able to give a big acceptance speech this whole season.

I would be shocked if he doesn’t win. We will know very soon. Who else would they give it to? A Private War? Sorry To Bother You? Blindspotting? Eighth Grade would be the only one I could think of that might win instead of A Star Is Born.

I have a depressing, sinking feeling Cooper is even going to get jobbed here, as don’t be surprised the director of Eighth Grade may ace him out of that.

“Teddy Perkins” lost? Wow. Way off there, Goldderby! Two “Maisel”s and two “Atlanta”s should have been a bellwether for a “Barry” upset and something higher than fifth place.

A massive upset; the Maisel streak in guild victories is finally broken. By a not-a-comedy.

Spike Jonze just won for Best Television Commercial.

so the moment of truth is here: will Bradley Cooper finally win his first award of the season? Or will there be a shocking upset? First-time Director is next and there is nothing before it…
