Don’t know how to post links on this board but if you go to youtube and search Diane Ladd upset by Studios greed on the Associated Press Channel she lets loose on ROONEY MAURA and 2 other LEADING LADIES for being put in HER Oscar category! LOL. She is angry!
Go Legend Ladd!February 11, 2016 at 12:51 pm #216336
Lol nice, Spielburg was criticizing the corruption as well.February 11, 2016 at 12:54 pm #216337
She’s right. The Oscars are a corrupted mess and it needs to be called out.
Also, Ms. Ladd has aged so well.February 11, 2016 at 12:59 pm #216338
Ha! Love her. I actually had Ladd in my first Oscar predix for 2015, given I knew she would wage an aggressive campaign, just as she did for “Wild at Heart” and “Rambling Rose.” Too bad “Joy” turned out to be a clunker, unable to muster anything beyond recognition for Lawrence.
The thing is, of course, this “corruption” is nothing new. Just ask Tatum O’Neal and Timothy Hutton.February 11, 2016 at 1:19 pm #216339
Who’s the third one? Winslet?February 11, 2016 at 2:33 pm #216340

Gotta love her honesty! She’s saying as it is! I was always saying that people who get screwed on this are true supporting players, those character actors waiting their whole life for recognition. It fucking stinks! Category frauds are abomination! And yet some morons here and on other sites say it’s nothing wrong. Fuck you, you imbeciles! It is FUCKING WRONG! Go Diane!February 11, 2016 at 2:35 pm #216341
In this case, the Oscar should never again be awarded in a supporting category to what was actually a lead performance. This is a gaming of the system. And the Academy, so far, has not recognized this is an issue.February 11, 2016 at 3:42 pm #216342
The problem is that AMPAS does not decides. Voters do. And if they vote for the fraud, the fault is not the studio’s, it’s the voter. It’s the same as the Oscars So White controversy. Nominees get nominated because the members vote for them, not any other theory or whatever.February 11, 2016 at 4:49 pm #216343
She is wonderful. She slayed those greedy execs and Rooney Mara in that clip.February 11, 2016 at 5:11 pm #216344

Shame on the critics who let Mara skate by.February 11, 2016 at 10:41 pm #216345
I dunno what she meant on “three”, though. Both Winslet and Leigh can be considered as the most significant female in their films, but I don’t think they are frauds at all.February 12, 2016 at 12:27 am #216346
^When did you see Steve Jobs?February 12, 2016 at 12:58 am #216347
Who’s the third one? Winslet?
Maybe she was thinking of Jennifer Jason Leigh.February 12, 2016 at 12:58 am #216348
I haven’t seen Steve Jobs yet, so is Winslet antother category fraud?
