    The title says it all.

Also: Which other nominations would you have given to this all time masterpiece piece of cinema?

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

Nah. Silence of the Lambs is not only the best film of that lineup, it’s one of the best films of the 1990s. Beauty and the Beast is one of the better Disney movies, but it doesn’t quite stack up to SOTL.

I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast, but Silence and the Lambs was the most deserving film that year. Still, a best picture nomination, especially for an animated film, is a tremendous accomplishment.

FYC Oscars: Soul (Best Picture, Original Screenplay, and Original Score), Delroy Lindo (Best Actor), Chadwick Boseman (Best Actor), Viola Davis (Best Actress), Paul Raci (Best Supporting Actor)

FYC Golden Globes (TV): Ted Lasso (Best Comedy Series), Jason Sudekis (Best Actor in a Comedy Series), Hannah Waddingham (Best Supporting Actress), The Boys (Best Drama Series), Anthony Starr (Best Actor in a Drama Series)

I’d say yes, but that’s because I’m the rare person who doesn’t like Silence of the Lambs at all.

    For Your Consideration:

    Best Picture: Wolfwalkers

    Best Animated Feature: Wolfwalkers

Beauty and the Beast would’ve been a great winner, but Silence of the Lambs deserved all of its wins.

Also, while it ultimately doesn’t matter since it was the same team on all the songs, Be Our Guest should’ve won Original Song over the titular number.

Silence of the Lambs deserved all of its wins. Especially the big five.

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

Beauty is a masterpiece but Lambs deserved every award and then some.

    Leading Actress: Frances McDormand
    Leading Actor: Anthony Hopkins
    Supporting Actress: Olivia Colman
    Supporting Actor: Daniel Kaluuya
    Adapted Screenplay: The Father
    Original Screenplay: Minari

No, and if I’m completely honest I’m not sure what was so much greater about Beauty and the Beast than the other early Disney Renaissance features. Still, it’s great that the glass ceiling for animation in the best picture category was broken, even if that should really have happened in the 30s and 40s with the Disney ‘big 5’, especially given the number of slots available at the time.
