I think she did great.March 3, 2014 at 7:08 am #145445
She did the best she could.I’m more on the good side.March 3, 2014 at 7:25 am #145446
I’ve seen too many Oscar ceremonies to say Ellen did a good job. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a well-produced and fun ceremony with a great host.March 3, 2014 at 8:20 am #145447
I like Ellen, she’s very likeable.
But she did not do a great job last night. Part of that may be her fault and part of it may not be but I honestly got the feeling she wasn’t really “into it”. She seemed uninspired or maybe even bored. The effort almost seemed lazy. She even stole a Tina Fey joke from the Globes when she mispronounced Goldie Hawn’s name after hitting the hard ones(Fey did Hanks). Did Twitter pay them to push the constant social media stuff last night? Maybe it’s me but I just don’t see a lot funny about taking selfies.
The audience had to keep doing standing ovations to stay awake.
It struck me as dull.
We’ll see who they get next year.March 3, 2014 at 8:46 am #145448
She was horrible! She was horrible in 2007, and now. Boring. McFarlance was million times better. But the spoiled girls (actresses) at the oscars were offended.
This was the most boring Oscars in a I don’t remember how long. Horrible.March 3, 2014 at 9:28 am #145449
She was okay. I am not a fan of her hosting style, but compared to last year’s charismatic hosting style of Seth MacFarlane, I would say that she wasn’t as good as before. She did bring some original ideas and some awesome moments to the telecast (the pizza idea I thought was just genius), but my personal favourite moment was the awesome selfie with her and all those celebs, see below.

She was alright, leaning on the good side.March 3, 2014 at 9:30 am #145451

She was exactly as good as expected, so I voted bad.March 3, 2014 at 10:34 am #145453
She was adequate and better than Seth MacFarlane. But her transphobic joke is something that should not be repeated. She should have known better.March 3, 2014 at 10:39 am #145454
thought she did greatMarch 3, 2014 at 11:08 am #145455
She was a charming and likeable host, but she was rather dull at times and not energetic enough. So more on the bad side for me.March 3, 2014 at 11:16 am #145456
I thought Ellen put on a really fun and enjoyable show. I liked the way she got people involved and you could really tell everyone was having a good time and it rubs off on audience. All that pizza made me hungry though lol.March 3, 2014 at 11:32 am #145457
She made the audience feel comfortable by actually involving them in things and set a good atmosphere. I’d say that alone makes her better than anyone since Hugh Jackman.
