So… I have to say this first, this was all just for fun. What I am doing here is planning out how awards season COULD go. I let instincts guide me and came up with something that shows how all the above the line categories could go, purely for fun. I let it sway a bit in the direction I hope it would go. I think this would be quite a fun awards season! THESE ARE NOT PREDICTIONS – it’s purely for fun. I am also aware some films may not come out this year. It was quite fun to do, so, let me know what you think. And if you want to share a version, go ahead! I also have a draft for the 2022 version, so tell me if you’re interested in seeing that.

Winners are in bold. Gaps indicate what is nominated for the Oscar and what is only at precursors.

    Too premature to do this.

We don’t even know if some of these movies will be released this year or will have any buzz or momentum.

That’s why I prefer to wait until awards season’s actually happening. Because then we have a good idea of what to look out for.

basically all the early frontrunners… although I don’t see Dune as a Bafta play, swap it with TENET. Bafta love Nolan and he’s British.

And I would keep an eye out for Matt Damon – Stillwater in Lead Actor, it’s oscar-bait script + transformative role.

    They’re not predictions, though.
