So one of the most anticipated movie of this year is Don’t Worry Darling. Here are some information on it so far:
Directed by: Olivia Wilde
Screenplay by: Van Dyke Sisters, rewritten by Katie Silberman
Distributor: Warner Bros
Cast: Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan, Kiki Layne, Chris Pine
DoP: Matthew Libatique (Black Swan, Mother!, A Star is Born, Iron Man)
Composer: John PowellPremise: A 1950’s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.
All genres and Oscar prospects aside, I’m excited for this. Wilde and Silberman work wonders in Booksmart and Florence Pugh can do no wrong.

She was head of makeup for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. She was also a makeup designer on Licorice Pizza.

I heard otherwise. One polarizing aspect, but Wilde’s Direction, Silberman Screenplay, Pugh, Harry and Pine are highlighted as the good parts.
Besides, this was originally ungreenlighted screenplay that was refurbished by Katie Silberman.

Rather see this in the mix instead of some of the dominant big gunsReplyCopy URLThe Sunne in Splendour.
I prefer my roses whiteMay 2, 2022 at 12:56 pm #1204939996I didn’t realize Olivia Wilde was going to be acting in this too! And based on the trailer (I didn’t watch the whole thing to go in as blind as I can) she actually seems to be in it a decent amount. I wonder if, should this movie get anywhere near the awards conversation, they might give a supporting actress push in addition to director. Would be a very interesting campaign.

Everything in this trailer was very intriguing, and I think they balanced very well what to reveal and what to keep under wraps. I read the script and I can already see substantive rework of some characters.
