The comparisons between the two films are valid but I am sick of people shitting on Driving Miss Daisy and worse putting it in the same category as Green Book. Driving Miss Daisy has a far stronger script then Green Book with stronger direction, much better acting, and better production values. It’s not meant to be the end all be all film about race relations. It winning over an unnominated Do The Right Thing doesn’t help the Academy in the political correctness department but to be honest I feel that Driving Miss Daisy is the better film.Green Book is handled with much less intelligence and dignity then DMD. What do you think?

Add me to the Driving Miss Daisy fan club. It’s not a great film but it is watchable and I always get choked up at the ending. There were some very good movies in 1989 but most of them did not get nominated for picture. Considering the films that did make it, I have no problem with Miss Daisy mowing them down in her limo.

I also find it way rewatchable than other Picture winners that time period (Out of Africa, Rain Man, Dances with Wolves).

    no

Enough with the Green Book hate. I’m

And also, I thought it was forbidden to even talk about these two films. Since they apparently send a certain group of people straight to their SAFE SPACES.

Thank you, because I have been dying to start a thread on my love for Crash and The Blind Side.

I didn’t hate Green Book but I didn’t think it was remarkable at all especially compared with Driving Miss Daisy. Oh and I thought Crash was a deserving winner as well.
