April 9, 2017 at 7:00 am #1202061130Lin Manuel Miranda is just missing the Oscar if I recall and I think he has something to do with the upcoming live action Disney little mermaid so that seems like it could happen.

Elton John is missing the Emmy and I’d never bet against him so I think he will get it eventually.
Cher is missing a Tony….could happen if she ever goes to broadway.
Audra McDonald is missing the Oscar. I think she could win one eventually as well.April 9, 2017 at 10:02 am #1202061214Audra McDonald is missing the Oscar. I think she could win one eventually as well.
And the Emmy.

ReplyCopy URLApril 9, 2017 at 1:10 pm #1202061334I would say these folks are likeliest to reach EGOT status in the near future…
Needs an Emmy: Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber
Needs an Oscar: Lin Manuel-Miranda, Marc Shaiman
Needs a Tony: Kate WinsletOSCAR FLASHBACK: 20 Years of Streep (1985) – Out of Africa
ReplyCopy URLApril 9, 2017 at 2:35 pm #1202061374If Bette Midler wins the tony for “Hello Dolly” she just need the oscar, which seems practically impossible, unfortunately…
Both Helen Mirren and Jessica Langue only needs the grammy.

Yes, it’s easiest in the Supporting category but she only have one project in works, a comedy with Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn..

Jessica Lange need a Grammy. Somebody get her to do an audiobook NOW.
ReplyCopy URLApril 9, 2017 at 9:00 pm #1202061661Kevin Spacey only needs an Emmy to complete the triple crown. Been trying to win for a while now. If he can’t win for House of Cards, maybe a guest spot on an Emmy-darling TV show will do the trick.
Glenn Close has a film coming out this year, but looks like she’s never gonna win an Oscar.
ReplyCopy URLApril 9, 2017 at 9:16 pm #1202061672Benj Pasek and Justin Paul:
February – won the Original Song Oscar for La La Land’s “City of Stars”
June – likely the favorite to win the Best Original Score Tony for Dear Evan Hansen
September – could contend for the Original Musics and Lyrics Emmy for their The Flash/Supergirl crossover song “Runnin’ Home to You.”
next February – likely the favorite to win Best Musical Theater Album for Dear Evan Hansen
They would not only become the youngest ever to achieve EGOT status, but they’d also be the first ones to win the awards in four consecutive ceremonies. That’s quite a feat if they can pull it off.

Close needs an honorary Oscar and a Kennedy Center Honor.
