She has a Grammy and she’ll clearly get an oscar this year (at least for OS)… She could even get the full EGOTJanuary 19, 2019 at 7:21 am #1202739408
That’s what I thought. EGOT will be much easier than Triple Crown for her, given that she’s basically halfway with Grammys and certain Oscar for “Shallow”.January 19, 2019 at 7:36 am #1202739423
I know she has none of these because Hollywood takes her for granted, but I feel like Amy Adams has so much potential for a triple crown. She has the acting chops and the pipes!
Well she may get two of them this year with Vice and Sharp Objects.January 22, 2019 at 11:27 am #1202744498
Multiple Emmy and Tony winner, Glenn Close, just received her 7th Oscar nomination today. Let’s hope she’ll follow Glenda Jackson in February.January 27, 2019 at 7:47 pm #1202751919
On a separate note, Oscar and Tony winner Alan Arkin has been racking up nominations lately for his supporting role in The Kominsky Method. Emmys next?January 27, 2019 at 8:12 pm #1202751980

That seems like it could likely happen.
Another one to watch is Faye Dunaway. She’s doing a Broadway play (I think it isn’t premiering until next year’s Tonys) but she’d be a Triple Crown winner too if she got a Tony.January 29, 2019 at 11:11 am #1202754398
^^Not only that but she’s playing Katharine Hepburn! I have no doubt she’ll pull this off just like the previous 1930s MGM starlet she played. 🙂 Fingers crossed for her.January 29, 2019 at 11:20 am #1202754414
Rami is getting Oscar next month and he already have Emmy. He’ll get Tony in near future and get TCAFebruary 14, 2019 at 9:38 am #1202776019
I don’t know if you realize it but Glenn Close – if she wins, of course – will break some records among TCA winners.
1. She would have the most TCA nominations with 23 (Oscar: 7, Emmy: 12, Tony: 4).
Previous record holder: Helen Mirren/Maggie Smith – 18.
2. She would have the most Emmy nominations with 12.
Previous record holder: Helen Mirren (again) – 11.
3. She would have the most TCA wins with 7, jointly with (again) Maggie Smith.
4. She would have the most Tony wins with 3, jointly with Jessica Tandy.
She would be also only 1 nomination short of Oscar nomination record held by Al Pacino at 8 and Emmy win record held by (once again… again!) Smith and (once again… again!) Mirren at 4.
Bring it on! 🙂 It’d be lovely to happen.
