Is Alan Arkin beloved in Goldderby? Because (pardon my harsh words) I still smear his outrageous Oscar win for a nothing performance but they seem to love him here so I wouldn’t dare to say it!

Billy Porter is the current favourite to the Lead Actor, Drama Emmy this year. If he does then he’s 2/3 triple and 3/4 EGOT. Missing the Oscar for both.

I believe it was the Little Gold Men podcast that mentioned after Allison Janney won (an actress I adore but didn’t even deserve to be nominated for that performance imo) and while the telecast went to commercial break… there was an eerie sense in the room of, “Ok, what did we just do?” Instant regret for honoring Janney’s career over a career-best performance (and best performance of the year in any category) from Metcalf. Metcalf’s loss will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in Oscar history, on par with wins from Crash and The King’s Speech. I have to believe she was within in a couple of votes of getting that Oscar.

enough of this hate towards Allison Janney. She’s one of the most deserving winners we’ve had recently.

Taron Egerton (Rocketman) for best actor. Charlize Theron looks great in Bombshell teaser

If Erivo ends up taking the Oscar and thus gains EGOT status, will she be considered to have triple-crown status, considering her Emmy is for a live-TV musical performance?

I guess she will, even though it’s a Daytime Emmy so it will always be an asterisk like with Whoopi Goldberg’s EGOT.

No, because TCA is only for acting. Goldberg is no TCA but an assumed EGOT holder.

Lupita for a nomination. Renee for a win. That's it.

It’s very blurry with the subject. Emmys won for variety performances apparently count, IDK what about those for narrating. “On-Camera Musical Performance” can be treated either way.

With Tony Shalhoub winning, Alan Arkin was denied Triple Crown of Acting.

Billy Porter is now in the //Missing the Oscar// group after winning an Emmy for “Pose”.

Michelle Williams, who was nominated for all TCA awards at least once, has finally won her first award – Emmy for “Fosse/Verdon”.

With Michelle Williams winning an Emmy on her first nomination and having previously been Oscar and Tony nominated, I see her completing this in the not too distant future. It’s only a matter of time before she is an Oscar winner, and although she wasn’t Tony nominated for Cabaret (but she was for Blackbird), I could see the theater industry supporting her even more in the future given her commitment of portraying Broadway legend Gwen Verdon.

Can’t imagine Halle Berry ever winning a Tony.

Anyone who is a Tony away is just lucky. Winning Tony takes real effort, while Oscar and Emmy come down to luck!
