Weaver has done enough in her career to warrant honorary and lifetime achievement recognition. Kennedy Center Honors and SAG lifetime achievement should be a given in the near future. I feel such tributes would encourage producers to secure her some juicy character parts for a gold watch campaign where she sweeps supporting actress categories across the board.

Kate Winslet has the Emmy and Oscar, but idk if she can get a Tony.
Has she ever done a play at Broadway?

Cate Blanchett could also get close. She’s predicted to get a Tony nomination this year and her winning chances are not that low so if she can pull that of, she would only need the Emmy, which is the easiest to get.

Winslet does not want to do Broadway. Maybe she’s intimidated by the live theater stage because she’s been a film actress too long and does not want to unlearn things for the sake of giving a credible theater performance?

Nominations for 71st Tony Awards are out.

Sally Field is indeed nominated for “The Glass Menagerie” (Best Performance by an Actress in a Play). If she wins, she’ll be another recipient of Triple Crown of Acting. She is against multiple Oscar winner (but never Emmy nominee) Cate Blanchett and multiple Emmy winners Laura Linney and Laurie Metcalf (Linney was nominated for 3 Oscars but never won, Metcalf was never nominated for an Oscar). The fifth nominee in that category was Jennifer Ehle and she’s the only one to already won Tony Award earlier on (in fact, she has 4 already).

Multiple Emmy and Tony winners, Cynthia Nixon and David Hyde Pierce, can extend their record, although they have yet to be nominated for an Oscar. Nathan Lane can also win another Tony but despite multiple Emmy nominations for guest spots on various TV shows he never won that award and he was never an Oscar nominee.

Academy Award winner Chris Cooper can also earn his first Tony Award. He was also nominated for one Emmy but didn’t win.

Oscar and Tony winner Kevin Kline can add another Tony to his resume. He was nominated for 1 Emmy but also didn’t win.

It’s weird to see that Bette Midler is up for her first competitive Tony Award. She won special award way back in 1974. She won multiple Emmys but none of them were for acting per se (one for performance in a variety or music program, does that count?) and 2 unsuccessful Oscar nods.

Emmy winner Danny de Vito is also up for his first Tony Award. He was nominated for Oscar but as a producer of “Erin Brockovich” and was never an acting nominee.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment. As far as I saw no Triple Crown winners got another Tony nominations.

I don’t know if Winslet has ever even been in a play. Maybe in school but I don’t think she has ever done professional theater.

Both Helen Mirren and Jessica Langue only needs the grammy.

Dame Maggie Smith is also only a Grammy shy. But, as she said in the interview last year, that one is rather sure never to happen 😀

It’s more probable that my gurl does Broadway first than people like Winslut or Day-Lewis. Great movie actors are fucking scared of doing live performances. And we all know why.

If she narrates an audio book they’ll give her one.

Day Lewis already puts on theatrics in his performances so I don’t know what’s stopping him from doing theater again.

Apparently Daniel Day-Lewis had a nervous breakdown on stage doing “Hamlet” in 1989, he thought he saw his father’s ghost, so do not expect the man to tread the boards again.

Popular and acclaimed film actors do not always have live stage chops. And their bullshit as performers will be called out by critics and audiences who see they’re not as special as certain film projects frame them.
