While obviously we all remember the people actually winning the awards, who are some presenters that standout as being just as memorable?
I thought of this because of Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, and George Lucas presenting Martin Scorsese his long overdue Oscar. Normally I’m not a big fan of having presenters with a known relation to a nominee as it comes across as favoring one over the others, but it was still sweet to see Marty’s friends and fellow auteurs celebrating onstage with him, and the three managed to get in some nice jokes before opening the envelope.
What are some other examples you can all think of?
