Favorite Black/White movie

Your personal favorite can include movies made in b/w or before era-colored movies and explain why you like the movie, my personal pick is Psycho (1960)
Although I know Alfred Hitchcock choose to shoot the film in b/w cause low budget issues but also because of the gory scenes but i think his decisión worked out really well in the result of a perfect horror/suspenceful movie had he shoot it in color would not had had the same effect…

The Cranes Are Flying (1957) is my favorite. Such a poignant depiction of the collateral damages that the war can cause on regular people.
