Did they only watched Nomadland? This sweeping everything, especially categories it doesn’t deserve is getting annoying.

I don’t see a single undeserved Nomadland win, apart from maybe Editing. Stay pressed.

    Leading Actor: Anthony Hopkins
    Supporting Actress: Youn Yuh-jung

LMAO. This may not be your favorite award season then. Even if Nomadland gets Boyhood-ed, it’ll still be a big presence this awards season.

    I see five

Keep crying about it then. It’s not going to change.

Ummmm… I haven’t seen it yet, but based on acclaim why would McDormand winning critics awards be ridiculous?

She doesn’t do anything impressive. No strengh whatsoever.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

I didn’t say it’s ridiculous, just undeserved. I can also say it’s uninspired, boring, and predictable.

I’m more than a bit skeptical of people saying Nomadland doesn’t deserve these awards so early on. If not skeptical, then I’m questionable of their taste.

Frances is not winning a third Oscar for this type of performance, so yall need to chill.
I understand you want to see inspired choices and stuff, but critics probably identified a lot with the movie. What can we do?! I’m sure other girls are going to win other critics.

And it’s not like Frances has been sweeping either. Two of the Trifecta came out with their choices and she won neither of their Best Actress awards and neither did Nomadland win Best Film at NY or LA. In fact, Frances didn’t even get runner-up in LA. Zhao has been sweeping Director and Nomadland did get runner-up for Best Film there, but it’s not a win.

I personally don’t think PYW deserves a screenplay win, but I’m not hating on it if other people feel differently because I can see the merits.

Yuh-jung Youn is absolutely killing it! I know Bakalova is still leading, but I’m so proud!

I haven’t seen a lot of contenders for best actress but Frances McDormand is truly incredible in Nomadland and deserves every win she’s getting. I don’t care that she has 2 Oscars, or that every other critics group is awarding her, if she’s the best she should win. Nomadland has a way talkier screenplay than I thought too and it’s very well-written, idk what y’all are complaining about.
