Worth baring in mind that there was strong win buzz for Da 5 Bloods back when it released. In fact some joked that a white person car movie would have to be released to stop it.
I won’t be surprised if it won the Drama Globe and got to BAFTA but then lost the Oscar.

He literally adapted his own play, one of the most produced and successful play in 2010s, into a great film, far stronger cinematically than any debut films last year. The crappy distributor had everything to be utilised, but they couldn’t. It is so sad seeing him and his casts missing more and more award.

It’s annoying that there is finally an Asian woman in serious competition for this award and…I cannot stand her direction. I really wish I did!
I don’t know what’s your take on this, but I thought that her previous effort (The Rider) was fine. As for Mads, I’ll pretend that she’s getting recognized for her other and better work, lol.
