Lol these critics groups are insane. First Riz is a breakthrough performer and now Zendaya is?

What next breakthrough performer Glenn Close?!?!?

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

Still not over Another Round being the go-to foreign film of the year. Falls flat in every single aspect.

It really is a bad film. I’ll pretend that Mads is winning awards for something else and not for this, lol.

Not the sudden Mads hate train now that he’s being nominated more…

No, not really. I love Mads. We just happen to find the movie bad, that’s all. And it’s certainly not his fault.

I’m not particularly against Mads, honestly, and I think Marco made it clear that he isn’t either. He actually gives a fine performance. It’s the movie that I find pretty insulse and pointless, and it’s a shame critics are pushing for it when there is more compelling works they could go for.

Does this mean no submission or merely lack of a campaign? Because if the latter it could potentially get shortlisted for makeup even without one.

    Finally some inspired choices!

Nice to see the overhyped trio of McDormand, Davis, and Mulligan excluded from this list.
