March 13, 2020 at 2:49 am #1203379994Genuinely gutted about AQP2. Early reviews are saying it’s better than the first, which I loved. But I understand the necessity of these measures.

I’m waiting when they’ll announce the delay of Black Widow and Tenet.-

March 13, 2020 at 9:28 am #1203380270I hope Promising Young Woman gets pushed back so buzz for Mulligan can be generated still. Would be gutted if it got released and no one saw it…

Are any of next years awards contenders actually going to get made this year?

Things are lining up for Dune sweep. Board the train while there are seats left.

i don’t know about you but if I was the Dune team I wouldn’t be that excited about winning by default.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 13, 2020 at 11:10 am #1203380374Win’s a win. But Dune stands a chance to be pretty damn good so it wouldn’t be a bad default. better good sci fi win by default than a mediocre “important/topical” movie winning and then not standing the test of time because people stopped caring about the topic that made its win urgent.

I’d rather wait to see a trailer for Dune before I start predicting a win. And there are still plenty of already finished films that could derail it – including some scheduled for a Spring release that could now bow in the fall and be more in contention.
March 13, 2020 at 11:37 am #1203380384true but we’ll see. I bet smaller movies will be squashed. They’ll need boxoffice and won’t have it.
