Last year, I published a list of all the performers I could find who have received acting nominations and wins from both the Oscars and the Razzies throughout the years. But one thing I’ve also been curious about is how many films have actually received Oscar and Razzie nominations in the same year, regardless of what categories they were nominated in. And so, I spent several days doing research of 40 years worth of both Oscar and Razzie nominations to see which films I could find, and I’ve come up with 71. To qualify for this list, each film had to receive 1 nomination of Best (any category) from the Oscars and Worst (any category) at the Razzies, in the same year. For the few films that received Oscar nominations as well as the Razzie nominations for their Razzie Redeemer Award, those films will not be counted here since those nominations both are considered the best of something, and this list is about the films who have been honored for both the best and the worst of whatever they’re nominated for. Anyways, here the 71 films I have found that have been nominated for at least 1 Oscar and 1 Razzie. Some films will shock you, but others will not:

I hated Mad Max:Fury Road, so I hope it was here for everything other than Theron’s performance (which was good). Although this opinion will be way too unpopular and don’t attack me.

I think tonal problems were largely to do Paolo Gucci’s character, but I thought the makeup work was some of the best prosthetic work nominated and should’ve won over The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

Makeup needs to be used to a good effect. Tbh the makeup of Leto (while being great) was not exactly crucial to the film while Tammy Faye’s makeup was so much a contribution to who she was and the artists did a good job passing Chastain as Tammy Faye and ageing Chastain – Garfield.
Although I do agree that Paulo Gucci’s character gave the film a very casual tone despite dealing with a heavy subject.

I won’t attack you but the stunt crew and John Seale’s team may have other ideas.
