There isn’t a Wikipedia page for this subject. But films which have the most Oscar nominations in the acting categories. Has any film got 5? I want a film to get like 7 in the future……..

Oh I guess I meant has any film got 6 cos I knew all those films had loads…… I guess 5 is the current record.  7 would be iconic!!! Why obnoxious? Lol

Yes I knew about wiki for films which have all acting categories but there’s nothing for most acting noms…..

The article includes the total of how many acting nominations the films received, and I figured it was unlikely that any would receive 4+ without at least one actor in every category. In any case it looks like 5 is the record.

The Godfather Part II scored 5 without a nomination in Lead Actress (1 Lead Actor, 1 Supporting Actress, 3 Supporting Actors), winning Supporting Actor for Robert De Niro.

The most I would have ever personally given to a movie would have also been 5 (Laurent, Kruger, Diehl, Fassbender and Waltz for Inglourious Basterds) but I’m sure that there are many movies with a potential for more. It just doesn’t happen because the Oscars like to spread the wealth. We had three years in a row with double nominations in acting categories, that has to be a record.

Supporting Actress: Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm)

Supporting Actor: Paul Raci (Sound of Metal)

Few years ago, I always thought Titanic got nominated in 4 acting categories:

Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor

Kate Winslet for Best Actress

Jonathan Hyde, Bernard Hill, and Victor Garber for Best Supporting Actor

Frances Fisher, Gloria Stuart, and Kathy Bates for Best Supporting Actress

So that makes it 8 people nominated in all 4 categories in a single film. Then I figured it out, only Winslet and Stuart got nominated 🤣
