Mila Kunis, is that you?
The actress, 37, looks unrecognizable in her forthcoming film, “Four Good Days,” in which she plays a drug addict desperate to recover and conquer her demons.
Kunis plays Molly, a 31-year-old self-proclaimed “junkie” who begs her estranged mother, played by Glenn Close, to help her fight against addiction to opioids so she doesn’t lose her children — or worse, her own life.
“If I wasn’t a junkie, would you even ask?” says a bleached-blond Kunis in the trailer appearing with shocking bruises, abrasions and sores as she writhes in pain, twitches and shakes as she struggles to maintain her sobriety. When she learns she must stay sober for four more days in order to receive an opiate antagonist shot, she realizes her struggles have only just begun. The film, which premiered at Sundance, is a far cry from the normal sunny appearance of the “That ’70s Show” alum, who is married with two children to Ashton Kutcher.
The film, directed by Rodrigo García, is based on a true story by Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post writer Eli Saslow and follows the mother and daughter’s battle against drugs and each other.
“Four Good Days” hits theaters April 30.

this unfortunately told me everything I need to know about Glenn’s chances :/
ReplyCopy URLMarch 19, 2021 at 7:35 pm #1204145998I have so many questions:
– OK the trailer is not good but it’s not THAT bad, why are people trashing it
– Wtf was the need for Mila Kunis to wear a dental prosthesis?!? It’s so unnecessary!!! Addicts can be pretty too………… but also…whyyy?
– OK it’s set over 4 days but why is Glenn wearing the same outfit throughout?
– Kinda wish Close was the addict and not Kunis LOL
– Kunis is some pretty strange casting. She wouldn’t be my 100th choice for this role. But everyone seems certain it’ll be as bad as Hillbilly Elegy. Eh. Probably not actually. It’ll probably be slightly better. Closer to The Wife than Hillbilly Elegy probably, unless Mila Kunis is atrocious (if she is, that would make two films in a row Glenn Close is forced to play with an atrocious, hysterical scene-partner, first Adams now Kunis).

AftersunMarch 19, 2021 at 9:44 pm #1204146231This looks very bad. I want to be optimistic for Glennie’s sake but this trailer is making it very difficult.

Amy Adams, for all the good work she’s done, was atrocious & embarrassing in Hillbilly Elegy. That’s just…true! She’s such a huge part of why the film doesn’t work, it’s a truly embarrassing performance from someone who is so esteemed, so yeah—in this particular case, I think the comparison is fair.
I’m not comparing Adams and Kunis as actresses generally. I’m comparing what Adams just did & what Kunis is about to.

ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2021 at 6:19 am #1204146601I think that the critics will dislike this one and the general audience will love it. I got emotional for a couple of reasons:
– Mila Kunis is really great here
– Glenn Close is subtle here
– The Close wig made me cringe, cry and laugh
– Gracia is a mediocre director. I love Nine Lives thoughReplyCopy URL2023 Oscar

ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2021 at 8:37 am #1204146736I’m glad Glenn is continuously working. Leave it to Hollywood and all the parts would go to Meryl.
Sissy, Susan, Sally and Sigourney are still alive!
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2021 at 9:41 am #1204146799Dianne Wiest and Ellen Burstyn play these characters better. Glenn wishes. She’s too ‘poor man’s Meryl’. I think she’s more suited to the stage.
What’s that phenomenon where the more people rave about someone, the more you’re inclinded to recoil when you read their name? Because that’s what GD has done to Glenn Close for me, I literally never had an issue with her before her overexposure on this site.

March 20, 2021 at 9:44 am #1204146809This took over a year to even find a distributor. It’s going nowhere.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2021 at 10:18 am #1204146888Kunis kinda seems razzie worthy maybe im wrong and this could be “demonic” all over again (that trailer was awful too and I ended up loving it lol)
