Forget what the pundits are saying. Forget your own Oscar predictions. How would YOU fill out the preferential ballot for Best Picture? Give us your ranking so we can all see how the #1 and #2, #3 votes might fall …
ReplyFebruary 9, 2019 at 11:42 am #1202766299Now watch as EVERYONE ranks Green Book and BOHEMIAN RAPSODY in the last spot… because Group-think….

2. A Star is Born
3. BlackKklansman
4. Vice
5. Roma (it’s ranked this low because I was so bored with it and couldn’t finish it)
6. Black Panther (honestly would switch places with Roma and am still debating it because I could actually finish it)
7. Green Book
8. Bohemian Rhapsody
Putting the year’s two worst BP nominees at the bottom isn’t group think, it’s a matter of taste and opinion.

Honestly how much educating I’ve been having to do on here lately, I feel like I should just switch my major to education.

February 9, 2019 at 12:19 pm #1202766336Darlings, saying that First Man is the Best Picture of the year by a milestone, my one and only ranking would be:
GOOD
1. Vice (Christian Bale and Amy Adams were fabulous! Lord that communist filmmaker knows how to direct)
AVERAGE
2. The Favourite (I think Rachel Weisz was very classy and it was well done. I don’t think it’s among the best of the year, but it ranks second in my ballot)
3. Green Book (another one like The Favourite, I simply liked it but found it pretty average)
4. Roma (it was fine. Aparicia gave a good performance and I felt like I was there in Argentine with her. Boring though.)
5. A Star Is Born (it was okay, but I felt it was weak sometimes. Cooper and Madonna copycat tried a little bit too hard but Elliott was really outstanding.)
BAD:
6. BlacKKKlansman (Spike Lee doing propaganda once again.)
ATROCIOUS / OFFENSIVE / DISGUSTING / RAZZIE-WORTHY
7. Black Panther (not only was a bad movie, it was a bad superhero movie. That’s saying a lot. I felt like I was watching some black people from the Bronx in a PS2 video game. Pathetic.)
8. Bohemian Tragedy (one of the worst films I’ve seen in years. A cartoonish portrait of a music icon by an alleged pedophile. Diarrheami Malek should be in jail for doing what he did. Absolutely outrageous, nightmarish and horrifying.)
