I haven’t really seen most of them yet, but from what I’ve watched:

    1.  The Favourite
    2.  A Star Is Born
    3.  Bohemian Rhapsody
    4.  BlacKkKlansman
    5. Black Panther

Not yet seen: Vice, Roma, Green Book. And please don’t judge my ranking.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

The way Beale Street should’ve been firmly in that top 3.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

    1-The Favourite
    2-Roma
    3-Green Book
    4-Bohemian Rhapsody
    5-Blackkklansman
    6-A Star Is Born
    7-Black Panther
    8-Vice

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

    1. Roma
Best film in years. It has some of the most deliberate directing and the most intricately composed shots that I have ever seen. I love how the film had a small scope, but a massive scale. So glad that I saw it in a theatre because the beginning was so boring.

    2. Green Book
    Good old-fashioned movie.

    3. A Star is Born
The only bad part was the ending, which apparently is always the ending; this was my first A Star is Born.

    4. Vice
Ambitious and epic, but not quite as clever as it considers itself.

    5. The Favourite
Strange and overly reliant on the C-word as a punchline. The arc of the narrative underwhelmed me, but the film has stuck with me.

    6. Black Panther
Middle-of-the road superhero movie for the most part, albeit prettier than normal and a spectacle.

    7. BlacKkKlansman
Pacing was weird in this one. It was kind of fun, but a lot of movies are kind of fun. Does not mean that they are Best Picture nominees.

    8. Bohemian Rhapsody
Had me asking if it was the worst movie ever in the early goings. Rami Malek’s performance has been severely overrated.
