Thank you derbyites. After the tepidness of the goldderby awards my faith has been restored.

I knew Bigelow would get it anyway, but it’s still great!

I’ve seen them all, and I think this is an incredible top 3.

Just glad “Holy Motors” got top 10.

I have a feeling that with my usual methods where bad and middling grades work against a film “Zero Dark Thirty” may have not won and “Amour” would have overtaken it. With only Top Ten lists to work with “Zero” easily won.

I think with grades the winner would’ve been “The Master”, PTA has a lot of rabid fans here.

Among the reasons I love this site is the incredible array of smart film buffs here, and the top 10 list just reinforces my feeling. I wish the Academy’s tastes were similar to us here.

As someone who put up with a lot of grief from defending ZD30 after seeing it much earlier than most of you were able to, I am happy so many people had open minds and came to their own opinions of the film without being affected by the nasty smear campaign here and elsewhere, mainly from closed-minded people who couldn’t be bothered to see the film for themselves.

I’d rather it won Best Picture, but this victory is still very gratifying.

My politics are not in line with so many people here. Am I allowed to stay anyways?
