What film and/or actor this year could get Golden Globe nominations and potentially nominations from other guilds and award shows this upcoming awards season, but fail to get Oscar nominated taking eligibility out of the question?

Meryl in Death Becomes Her. I always thought it was a great film and Her performance is wonderful so does Goldie.

Blunt can get “snubbed” for Mary Poppins. The film looks like a lock for Comedy/Musical nod and then miss the BP Oscar nod. I suppose Lin Manuel Miranda too.

A Star is Born can suffer the same fate as Barbra’s version, with the exception of Best Score.

For Oscars or for Globes? I agree on the Oscar, but Globes, she’s definitely a lock, especially with Cate Blanchett and Renee Zellweger out of the way, and she could even win if McCarthy goes drama instead of comedy.

Emily Blunt for both lead actress drama and comedy.
A Star Is Born outside of an original song nomination
    Bohemian Rhapsody in all categories
Crazy Rich Asians & Love, Simon unless they both into adapted screenplay somehow

Yes at the Oscars. The “snubbed” part was because we don’t know if she’ll deserve it yet, or if it’ll just be a Globe contender because of their comedy/musical category and that’s it. She’s a lock at the Globes as is the film and possiby Miranda (if he goes Lead which if he’s even slightly over the edge, will be submitted because it could be an easy nod).
