Could you add The Duke in the comedy categories (I think SPC picked it up)? Thanks.

Just wondering, did you find any confirmation on what Disney will campaign Hamilton for?

Have a great day if you see this!

    FYC: Anthony Hopkins- The Father
FYC: Chadwick Boseman - Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Netflix needs to take advantage of the empty comedy field and move something to comedy. The Boys in the Band would easily make it into Film and for Parsons- Parsons would be win competitive

    FYC OSCARS

    AMY ADAMS- Best Actress
The Boys in the Band- Jim Parsons/Screenplay

Two things to watch out for :

    – Ryan Murphy getting the last slot in Director – Well they love Murphy

    – Promising Young Woman sneaking into Screenplay – The film to me is HFPA bait and whilst I don’t think Emerald Fennell stands a chance in Directing the script of PYW is quite acclaimed and I can see her get in here.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Why are The French Dispatch, which has been reported to premiere in 2021, and Nightmare Alley, which hasn’t finished filming yet, still in both prediction centers?

    6. Ryan Reynolds, Free Guy

    Actress – Drama

    1. Amy Adams, Hillbilly Elegy (maybe not when it comes to the win but she’s safest for a nom because I doubt they’ll snub her when they nominated her for Enchanted and Big Eyes)

    5. Leslie Odom Jr., One Night in Miami

    6. Richard E. Grant, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
    7. Jeremy Strong, The Trial of the Chicago 7 (don’t be surprised if they nominate him simply because he won the Emmy for Succession when they snubbed him for the nom)

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

I hope people are slotting The Father into their Drama Film predictions. They love Olivia Colman and everything she has won/been nominated for a Golden Globe has been nominated in the equivalent Series or Picture category.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

    Comedy actor is…

    Well…

How am I supposed to pick 5?

The French Dispatch really could have had a runaway.

Think we need to remove a couple films too.

We don’t remove anything until it has been confirmed that it out of this cycle. You’re probably right, but they are only unconfirmed rumors so far.

Disney has not let us know about “Hamilton” and whether it would be eligible for film or TV. We’ve asked several times but no answer yet.

    Understood, all good.

I think seeing any of Annette, Nightmare Alley, Macbeth, or The Card Counter hitting this year’s circuit would be a surprise. The French Dispatch is on a wire, but I’m doubting that too…

Is Cristin Millioti not being campaigned for Comedy/Musical Actress? I think “Palm Springs” and Andy Samberg are pretty good bets at getting into Picture and Actor, and Millioti could easily be along for the ride.

I’ve also put Murray in my Comedy/Musical Actor AND Supporting Actor predictions because I think he’s getting nominated, but they’ll just have to pick where to campaign him. I could see him going Lead at Globes and Supporting elsewhere due to the barren field.
