They nominate but they don’t feel like awarding. They literally just went for a debutante in panned movie so they didn’t have to award her. Okay, it’s getting late. Good night guys.

So proud of Andra! She was just as good if not better than Renee last year.

Loved the wins for Chole, Chadwick and Daniel! So happy and elated for Andra. She did her thing as Billie Holiday and deserves be taken seriously as a contender.

Are they the most racist? Last 4 years include Awkwafina/Parasite, Ali/Cuaron, del Toro/Coco, Moonlight/Davis.

More than Oscars, less than BAFTAs.

    FYC:

    Best Actor:
Delroy Lindo - Da 5 Bloods

    Best Actress:
Sidney Flanigan - Never Rarely Sometimes Always

When it comes to racism and lack of diversity, BAFTAs is the most horrible one. At least all US awards are being examined and discussed.

These virtual awards are a borefest. If the Oscars happen all at zoom this year, ratings will drastically go down.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>3270th place. I am proud.

I came 134th (a PB!), which is a worrying sign that I get the HFPA’s crazy ways. Ugh. Thankfully far worse over in TV.

BAFTA desperately needed that jury system

The Globes came all the way through this year 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Probably the biggest surprises we’ve seen in a long time.

Did Hulu actually purchase Nomadland? Like Netflix bought Chicago 7, but did Hulu. I haven’t seen any reported purchase numbers. Whereas we know that Hulu bought Billie Holiday.

#12 for 2021 SAG Film Award Winners.

Unpopular opinion but I personally really love this GG winner list:

    1. Pike over Bakalova: I don’t get the Bakalova hype either after watching Borat2
    2. Kaluuya over SBC: I root for Judas!
    3. Lo Si over Speak Now: I listened to all 5 songs and only Lo Si touched me.
    4. PYW shutout: never understand the overhype of this film
    5. Soul got 2 wins: my fav movie of 2020
    6. Nomadland winning BP: Trial of Chicago won’t get backlash now
    7. Foster over everyone: We won’t have a sweep this year.
    8. Hamilton shutout: Not even a film and Lin doesn’t impress me.

    Sad about
    1. Palm Springs didn’t have a surprise win
    2. Borat2 getting too much love

I got so bad at prediction this time, but I’m glad with this result.
