Wowwww. It’s the end of an era! But NBC clearly left the door open for the revamped Globes to return in January 2023. Soooo, your move, corrupt Globes…

At best, the winners next year will be announced in a press conference like in 2008. The Golden Globes will be as much relevant and visible as a regional critics award.

I wonder if another network will pick them up

They have a contract with NBC, so the HFPA would have to negotiate it and they’re not in position to do such thing. Televised Globes are done.

Disney Plus (and Hulu and Marvel) should be embarrassed that it didn’t join Netflix, Amazon and WarnerMedia in saying that the Globes’ proposed changes were insufficient, and that it wouldn’t participate in press conferences and special screenings.

Big blow to Critics Choice since they can no longer copy and paste winners from the Globes next year and maybe near again!

There’s the INTERNET. They can still copy and paste from any pundit or media.

Congrats to cancel culture. The reason why I appreciate the HPFA more is that they hired Gervais and exposed Hollywood’s hypocrisy.

Every human being on the planet is bias. If you think you can just suddenly change someone’s preference then just cancel every award show.

Tom Cruise has returned his Golden Globe trophies to protest the HFPA

And yet he still loves Scientology. I do not understand this man.

I am sorry for my past behaviour. I am sorry for being a turd. I would like to try and be better.

This might work to CC’s advantage. As Anne Thompson recently wrote: “The CCAs are under contract to air on The CW and is a small fish compared to the established Golden Globes….CBS owns half of The CW and could easily buy out their rights to the CCAs, landing a show that looks a lot like the Globes with a more legitimate voting base.”

    exposed Hollywood’s hypocrisy

They were the definition of Hollywood’s hypocrisy when it came to recognizing artists/professionals of color and the long-standing tradition of being bought out by studios.

Emmys FYC: Maya Erskine in PEN15, Paapa Essiedu in I May Destroy You, Keeley Hawes in It's a Sin, Carl Lumbly in TFATWS, Cristin Milioti in Made for Love, Elizabeth Olsen in WandaVision, Billie Piper in I Hate Suzie, Hailee Steinfeld in Dickinson, William Zabka in Cobra Kai

If I had a TV station, I would consider airing them.

Yeah I was being cheeky lol. I’m hoping they do their own thing this time around instead of trying to predict the Oscars.

So let’s just force them to vote on someone even though they their own preferences. Every human being on the planet is bias.
