“At the Oscars, HFPA member Margaret Gardiner asked supporting actor winner Daniel Kaluuya what it was like to work with director Regina King. Kaluuya, who looked taken aback, asked her to repeat the question.“ this is the part that scares me the most. Like it was nominated and they had no clue?! I’m worried what they asked anyone from one night in Miami now. What movie did the voters think they “watched”? I’m looking at all the winners at the gg awards in the same lense now tbh. Did they watch any of the ones to hanks won or go “oh I like him boom done” did they watch any of the tv shows and go “oh I like that person and he will bring more eyes to the screen over so and so so let’s give him the win”. Just a lot ofd choices kinda explained from them now I guess

I love Scarlett and I’m sure there were campaign rules in her contract but, she showed up there looking mighty happy.

If you feel this way, then why are you here in this site?

Then I will be going if there are no award shows. Duh.

“They have known us for 30, 40, 50 years,” . . . “How could this have been a surprise?”

Isn’t that hypocritical? Hollywood tolerated their behavior for decades and now they’re reacting strongly against them. Lol. The same thing happened on Harvey Weinstein.

    Hilarious.

This is pissing ne off. They know this stuff but stay silent. Same thing with Gal Gadot just now speaking up against Joss Weadon. She allowed for Ray Fisher to look like the bad guy and the “angry Black man.” Meanwhile, she stayed silent. Now, people are upset with Weadon after she spoke up.

The Globes backlash was out surrounding not having Black members, only Black people in Hollywood were speaking up. But, when Scarlett Johansson say “sexism”, the whole damn show will likely get canceled. I’m over these Hollywood bitches.

Exactly. The hypocrisy around Hollywood. They’ve known this shit for years. They tolerated it. And now they’re acting like, oh here I am.. I’m speaking up against blah blah blah.

I’d love them to disappear, they have way to much influence on the award season especially the oscars. Also, apparently Harvey Weinstein was the one who made them popular while using them to build momentum for his films to the oscars back in the day. I don’t believe for a second about those changes, many of those 90 members have been living off the bribes for years, they won’t leave those.

It’s true that Hollywood have been tolerating and incentivizing this corruption for many years and NBC really think they’re doing something by “cancelling” the show, they’re not losing that much because ratings have been abysmal, they can’t wait for the pandemic to be over to have all celebrities there. Do you think they would cancel it last year when it got 18M viewers? Give me a break!

Well, the more people in hollywood bitching about award shows the likely the Oscars will be next. Imagine no more award shows and less platforms for celebrities lecturing the viewers or general public about equality. I guess it’s better that way.

I personally cannot be relieved if the modern masterpieces, such as Moonlight, Parasite, or A Separation, go home unrewarded. Those films can be seen more widely because of awards. Shame to those lecturers, but if it ends up with nothing to honour those wonderful gems, I disagree. That’s also why the declining viewers of these shows are detrimental to the industry, especially to those people who work for their art more than their personality as a celeb. At the end of the day, we, human, love to see competitions.

The hypocrisy, man. What the fuck? This is the same Hollywood that allowed them back after Pia Zadora. And MANY people criticizing the show right now were there when the Sharon Stone thing happened with The Muse or The Mighty, can’t remember which one it was.

These people also witnessed nominations for The Tourist, that Julia Roberts/Clive Owen film, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, that last Globe Kelsey Grammer won for Frasier, Scott Caan for Hawaii 5-0? Oh, and now they have a problem? Mmm.

I will say, when it comes to Johansson, i think her not winning last year or getting double nods shows she really wasn’t playing along with the group: she was their favorite once, huge star, still young/hot, Endgame had just happened, BW was coming, and second place overall in the race so it wouldn’t have seemed weird or sucking up to the young girl. It was the perfect opportunity and the eventual winner won her fourth Globe. I thought there was another reason, now I see it differently.

The #CriticsChoiceAwards have secured the early January spot, originally held by the #GoldenGlobes.

Set to start off 2022 Award Season, they are known for having up to six-eight nominees in each category.

    Lol again.
