October 1, 2020 at 1:51 pm #1203749819Blue Jasmine and Elizabeth – should have won Best Actress for both. Can’t decide which one is better.

October 1, 2020 at 2:28 pm #1203749911For me It’s a tie between Carol and Blue Jasmine (IMO she should have won for Carol as well) Carol was so unlike anything she usually does and she did it perfectly, she was so above every other nominee that year (perhaps on par with Rampling) but Blue Jasmine is still her GOAT performance and the best best actress winner performance of the century so far

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
I’m Not There
Knight of Cups
The Talented Mr. RipleyTake your pick!

Exactly. Imo she should have won Lead twice for Blue Jasmine and Carol (and not The Aviator)

ReplyCopy URLOctober 1, 2020 at 7:23 pm #1203750499Her role in Blue Jasmine fits her tendencies as an actress best, but I think her peak is Carol. It’s also just the better film too.
