Let me guess, maybe I should have put Newsies, Little Women, or Velvet Goldmine?

(American Psycho is 2nd best performance-wise, imo – but The Prestige is 2nd best film-wise – ha, as if anyone cares lol).

Good thing you didn’t add the Batman stuff because I still can’t get around how bad he was in them.

Damn, that is not a good list at all. I hope he can surprise us in the future, but please, for the love of God, no more Adam Mckay/David O. Russell films

November 13, 2020 at 5:27 pm #1203835645Bale isn’t a bad actor. But he gets too much credit for merely being a try-hard. I guess guys like Leonardo DiCaprio also fit into that category. But Leo has at least pulled it off a handful of times. Bale, outside of his face and body in a few flicks, has never fully clicked for me in any movie.

🙁
He’s not a bad actor! But, you know those threads that pop up every now and again about a specific actor and which nominations you would keep for them, which you would take away, which you would add? Bale is someone for whom I would take away all nominations, and not replace them. He’s never given a stellar performance.
