There Will Be Blood is a masterpiece of film, and most of that definitely thanks to Day Lewis.

He’s so darkly funny and terrifying at the same time as Bill The Butcher in Gangs of New York.
It’s the closest I’ve ever seen him stretching his comedic chops on film.

That’s why it’s easily my favorite DDL performance.
