Best: What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?/Revolutionary Road (tie-ish, depends on the day).

Runner ups: The Basketball Diaries/This Boy’s Life.

This site won’t allow me to pick one of these performances. Now they’re suppressing votes here too.

The Aviator for me, he was young, and taking on such a mature role at that age was a huge task. I think that he completely lost himself in that character and the more movie progresses, the more we see him get better.

The Wolf of Wall Street will be a popular opinion, his second-best work IMO.

Not his best but I think that Catch Me If You Can was such a cool performance and a film, very smooth stuff.

I am sure that we are yet to see his best work as an actor.

Performances i heavily considered to put in the list, but then ultimately decided to leave off.

    Inception
    Titanic
    Romeo + Juliet
    The Basketball Diaries
    Revolutionary Road
    The Great Gatsby
    J. Edgar
    Gangs of New York
Total Eclipse (nearly obscure film in which he plays a bisexual French poet)

    Agree.
His greatest work is still ahead of him.

People voting in the polls when it’s actually Revolutionary Road.
